Another 12m Displacement Powercat launched
Destined for Auckland, this cat is powered by twin 270hp Hyundai diesels giving a top dispacement speed of 25 knots. These 6 cylinder engines are much quieter and smoother than the 4 cylinder versions powering the first 12m launched, though speed and fuel consumption are very similar.
The interior is more highly specified with mahogany trims and ribbed paneling. Soft vinyl panels are used on walls and ceilings.

Hi Robert
No actual photos available of outboard powered 12 m displacement cat as all built so far are inboard shaft. However the only real difference apart from cost and weight would be the outboard pods on back of each hull.
